Why I love fitness...
1. It teaches you how to do things you never thought you could do... but it DOESN'T make that easy and yes, you do HAVE to try!
2. When you overcome a physical challenge, it positively impacts the rest of your life because you learn that you have strength, tenacity and resolve greater than you thought.
3. It makes you truly appreciative of your body, for the experience of overcoming the challenge, for the pleasure of having overcome fears, and any self-doubt.
4. It permeates the rest of your life because you realise that if you could overcome extreme self-doubt about something, you can pretty much overcome most things.
5. It helps you to learn how to dig deep, be mature enough to know that nothing that's truly worthwhile comes easy and that it's the personal journey of going through the wobbles, that makes you learn to trust in yourself in other parts of life.
So this little #Mayurasana (aka. Peacock Pose) is what the stunning Emily Blunt so perfectly and incredibly beautifully, shows us in "Edge of Tomorrow".
I decided to set it as my 2022 fitness challenge and before the close of Month 1, completed it... SO much room for improvement but at least I still have my front teeth 😅
What's your personal best challenge this year? Comment for accountability, tag a friend you want to rope in and I'll cheer you on!
YOU'VE. GOT. THIS.
With love
Sue 💛
PS. Why do I post fitness pics? Because it shows that I practice what I preach, that I do what I promote and that I know through personal effort, challenge and experience how damn hard it is! Authenticity 101 😉
