You know that friend who you reach out to over and over again? Even though maybe they behaved badly and don't really deserve your efforts at all? But you just can't bare to admit they're actually the person who they seem to be and so don't want to let them go? So you keep reaching out and trying to connect... but they're never around/not forthcoming/always busy?

Own your worth!

1. Accept that they're not who they could be

2. Accept that they're not valuing the effort you're putting in to see them

3. Let your attachment to them go

4. Focus your time on the people who DO make time to see you, who DO value your invites, who DO show up, spend time with you, ask how you are, appreciate you, reciprocate your efforts.

Sure, we're all human and people go through stuff... and if you're reading this then you're one of those people who gets this more than most.

But that also means that you're one of those people who will stay loyal at the expense of your own self-worth.

Maturity in relationships comes from learning when to say (metaphorically speaking):

"I love you, but you've used up all your attention tokens.

You've wasted them, dropped them, left them unused.

So, I'm sorry, you'll always be my friend but for now, I'm withdrawing my friendship.

Because devaluing myself for you, and by you, is not a sign of friendship but of sacrifice."

You can't make people choose you, no matter how nice you are, how much you try, how much you give.

But you can make an effort to be those things instead with the ones who already see it!
